As of December 2008 Vice President & Regional Managing Director for Lawson Software Asia Pacific & Japan having earlier been responsible for Lawson's business in Asia since April 2006. Prior to Lawson held the position of Regional Vice President for Intentia's Asia operations since 2001 joining Intentia from IBM where I was the Asia Pacific Director of Software alliances based in Singapore. Prior to Lawson, Intentia & IBM I worked with a subsidiary of Alcatel in Asia as a regional marketing director and before joining Alcatel I worked for 6.5 years with the Japanese trading house ITOCHU based in Sydney & Tokyo. I have lived and worked in Asia for over 26 years.

Itochu of Japan is one of the world's largest general trading houses. During my time with Itochu I was trading mineral commodities such as coal, iron ore and magnetite from Australia to China & Japan and steel products such as electrical steel, tube and pipe and mill rolls used for steel production from Japan to the Australian market. I started with Itochu in Sydney and worked in the Itochu Tokyo office for almost two years under the management trainee program.
