CEO of Webworking Services - Online Marketing & Communications Trailblazer since 1988
Provo, Utah Area
I've been passionately involved in the technology industry since 1978 and have been online since 1979. In 1980, I started perhaps the first retail store selling personal computers at a shopping mall.
In 1988, I started marketing in cyberspace, with my Personal System/2 Reference Tables, which saved IBM a documented $22 million by 1990. In 1992, IBM tapped me to represent OS/2 online, at which time I started one of the worlds first and largest virtual teams and online social networks - Team OS/2. As IBM's Online Advocate, I represented IBM online when the web was first coming into prominence.
My firm, Webworking Services, serves selected companies in marketing online and offline - using our trade secret marketing methods to help companies rise above the fray with quality products and offerings. We help bridge the gap between people and any technology that has the power to increase individual enjoyment, strengthen families, and enhance personal fulfillment.
Examples: from 1997 through 2001, we helped MGI Software define and establish PhotoSuite as the best-selling digital photo application. From 2002 through early 2007, we developed a popular Build-Your-Own-PC seminar for Intel and helped them popularize the Centrino Mobile Technology.
Currently, we have our hands full in applying our marketing magic to 1) muvee's outstanding lineup of slideshow / video software and 2) the innovative, industry-leading services from INVISUS Direct.
Over the years, I've presented various technologies and cool products and services to over a thousand audiences and to well over 100,000 individuals in six countries and 42 states, at trade shows, respected universities, government agencies, user groups, clubs, and associations.
I co-authored "Dvorak's Guide to OS/2" with John C. Dvorak and authored "Cyberspace: The Human Dimension" in1997 - a work I'm still proud of for its visionary perspective on Internet business and marketing.
Internet marketing and business development, strategic niche marketing, viral marketing, online communications, social networking, new media, analytics, and copywriting. Named by Working Woman Magazine as "one of America's most original technological thinkers."
