Senior Technical Architect at ShipServ
London, United Kingdom
I’m a Senior Technical Architect at ShipServ, designing and developing the next-generation platform for the leading marine eMarketplace. Previously, I spent two years as technical lead for Imagini, an internet startup, developing their recommendation engine technology alongside the proprietary VisualDNA technology. I also spent 5 years at Totally Communications as Technical Architect, developing bespoke systems for a variety of clients.
I have extensive experience in project delivery, with 5 years experience in auditing business processes with a view to translating these to a working technology platform, as well as 9+ years of web development experience, including managing and mentoring other developers.
Prior to my commercial career I owned a gaming website network, and developed and ran several large game community networks for some of the early MMORPG games, and later adopted as official community sites by Electronic Arts and Westwood Studios.
I am very quick to learn new concepts and technologies, and able to look at ideas from business and technical perspectives, and very keen to work outside my comfort zone.
I have a great understanding of current and emerging internet technologies, and the impact they potentially have, as well as social and community networking.
