Kensei Media specilises in developing and integrating immersive and engaging digital media solutions to major European institutions such as Associated New Media, O2, Nokia and Live Nation. Kensei was founded in 2007 by Dave Nicoll and Leo Fowler.
While working at Kensei, I've overseen two major releases of the Kensei Media Platform and the integration of the platform with several large web applications. Nowadays my role is mainly business-related; strategy, networking and the odd bit of creative here and there.
The platform consists of -
+ White-label web front-end (developed using ASP.NET C#, XHTML, CSS, jQuery) to build new web applications from scratch
+ Javascript integration kit to quickly add the platform to existing web applications, regardless of the language they were created in
+ Dashboard to control every aspect of the platform (ASP.NET C# and jQuery to create a rich, easy-to-use, interface)
+ Encoding services to convert videos, audio, images and documents into other formats, on-demand
+ A handful of APIs (.NET webservices) to support the web front-end, back-office applications, iPhone apps, etc.
+ Multiple MS SQL 2005 databases
There's a ton more information at http://www.kenseimedia.com/platform if you're interested.

Initially contracted to build a Finnish entertainment web application www.welldone.fi using ASP, XHTML, Javascript, CSS. Once completed, joined the European I.T. department full-time, working on projects across Europe. As part of a 3-man team, built www.livenation.co.uk in ASP.NET C# (several projects in multiple solutions), MS SQL (7 databases) and a content management system used by Live Nation staff all over the world. It was designed for an extremely high volume of visitors (customers purchasing tickets) and subsequently uses caching techniques and an XML publishing engine.
Architected, designed and co-built (team of 4) the Live Nation video platform for our public facing European web sites, allowing customers at festivals and live performances to upload videos (and photos) from their phones or cameras. Project consisted of several Visual Studio solutions (ASP.NET C# web applications, C# web service/API, video processing libraries, C# Windows service).

Contracted to support and enhance an existing image library web application built using ASP, HTML, JavaScript, XML with a SQL Server database (several TSQL stored procedures). Designing and developing for both PC and Mac browsers. The sites manage over 100,000 high resolution images and the CMS allows complete control of all aspects. Integrated in-house e-commerce solution. Also developed dynamic image galleries (ASP.NET based, JavaScript, XHTML, DHTML where possible, custom ActiveX and Java uploader) to allow photographers in the field to deliver high resolution digital photos to clients. Fully documented both systems (functional specification, technical specification, installation guide, ERD schema, source code documentation, etc). Other tasks included sourcing and purchasing hardware and setup of clustered servers (IISLockdown, URLScan, firewall configuration, etc).
