Principal Lecturer at Otago Polytechnic

I am currently working as a lecturer (teacher & trainer) in a polytechnic (think of "College" with degrees). For a few years I've focused almost exclusively on networking, e.g. teaching CCNA. Over the last two years I've broadened into teaching A+ material along with several Microsoft flavored OS courses and IT Service Management (ITIL). I manage a programme aimed at training junior technician's called the Certificate in IT Service & Support".

Looking after a pathology database which ran on a PICK system (on top of Digital Unix). It was really interesting, and taught me the value of using standard relational databases. PICK worked fine - but you just find someone who can work in it!
