Dan’s experience is as varied as his skills. He has worked in a wide range of jobs and industries that cross a variety of areas. He has worked in the food & beverage industry, developed 100’s of new products, been a teacher, trainer, and manager, and has performed different forms of comedy at Second City and Zanies in Chicago. Dan is a certified scuba diver with over 300 dives, a certified television producer for the public access cable network, and a certified Chef and self-admitted “foodie”.
Dan has been a New Product Development consultant for over 12 years. In his role as Director of Program Management at HLB (www.hlb.com), he has been involved in the development of 100’s of new products. He manages complex, multi-disciplined projects with a focus on innovation and mechanical invention. Dan holds two utility patents and hopes to recieve several more this year.
Dan is a highly creative and innovative thinker and has led numerous ideation and innovation sessions. He has also managed a variety of market research activities and has developed strategic marketing plans and initiatives. Dan’s varied experiences allow him to bring a unique inside-out perspective with the ability to understand the critical issues and recognize their strategic implications.
At the core of Dan's expertise, is the ability to quickly assess, understand, and adapt to new situations, and then respond quickly and appropriately. His entrepreneurial spirit and strong business acumen have helped Dan adopt a customer-centric, “whatever it takes” attitude to meet or exceed customer expectations.
