Process transforms HIPAA 835 standard claim remittance advisory EDI files into relational data mart schema, then into complex, multi-dimensional Analysis Service 2005 OLAP cube with MDX calculated metrics, and finally into data visualization tools and Reporting Services. Visual analyses easily drill -- from macro comparisons of revenue performance between hospitals across the country – all the way down into detailed analyses of each claim's line-item charges, usage of diagnostic and procedure codes, revenue adjustments, denials and, of course, payment.
