Digital Marketing Manager at Absolute Radio
Peterborough, United Kingdom
I've spent just under a decade specialising in creating compelling content and distributing it with effective marketing.
My current role as Digital Marketing Manager for Absolute Radio spans a number of disciplines, including natural and paid search, social media, mobile development and marketing, and project management of external agencies and developers.
I'm also involved in improving internal knowledge sharing and shaping the digital strategies, particularly on content and marketing.
My previous roles at Bauer Media include content creation (print and digital journalism and web production, website redevelopment and community management), and social media marketing (Across the Bauer portfolio, including Heat, Empire, Cocosa, FHM, MCN, Car Magazine).
I'm also a blogger, with two blogs ranked by Wikio in the top 100 UK Tech blogs (www.thewayoftheweb.net and www.140char.com). TheWayoftheWeb is also in the top 50 of the UK Marketing blogs listed by AdAge.
And I also speak at various events:
'Dan Thornton provided a particularly insightful introduction to online communities at a recent ALPSP seminar. The detailed analysis of the available options for publishing in its varied forms provided an exciting launch pad for the day itself and provided food for thought for the many academic publishers attending the event.'
