I have an Honors Degree in Graphic Design. In my career I have worked directly with clients, contracted to other design firms and have been employed by multimedia, internet and advertising agencies.
In these roles I have been a Senior Designer for National clients such as nib Health Funds, Perisher Blue, Camera House, Lonsdale London, Sandvik International, NSW Health, Australian General Practice Network and Lake Macquarie City Council. Prior to this I obtained an Associate Diploma in Industrial Engineering and was employed in the Engineering/Quality Assurance discipline.
As a multimedia designer I combine engineering principles and disciplines with graphic and interactive design.
In 2006 I won the National Travel Catalogue of the Year Award for my design work on the 40 page Perisher Blue Snow Holidays Brochure at the Australian Catalogue Awards whilst working for my recent employer.

The term graphic design can refer to a number of artistic and professional disciplines which focus on visual communication and presentation. Various methods are used to create and combine symbols, images and/or words to create a visual representation of ideas and messages.
A graphic designer may utilize typography, visual arts and page layout techniques in varying degrees to produce the final result of the project. Graphic design often refers to both the process (designing) by which the communication is created and the products (designs) which are generated.
Common uses of graphic design include magazines, advertisements, product packaging and web design. For example, a product package might include a logo or other artwork, organized text and pure design elements such as shapes and color which unify the piece. Composition is one of the most important features of graphic design especially when utilizing pre-existing materials or using diverse elements.

Industrial engineering draws upon the principles and methods of engineering analysis and synthesis, as well as mathematical, physical and social sciences together with the principles and methods of engineering analysis and design to specify, predict and evaluate the results to be obtained from such systems. In lean manufacturing systems, Industrial engineers work to eliminate wastes of time, money, materials, energy, and other resources.
