Talent Business Manager at BBC
London, United Kingdom
I’m a journalist and former magazine editor. I’ve spent the last 14 years recruiting journalists and editorial staff for print, interactive and broadcast primarily in the commercial sector, and now work in HR.
I joined the BBC in 2002. As Recruitment Account Manager, I headed up the team responsible for recruiting staff for BBC News and Current Affairs, and World Service News and Current Affairs. I was also project director for the BBC News Sponsorship Scheme, the bursary scheme for broadcast journalism.
In 2006 I joined BBC Vision as HR & Development Manager, initially working with BBC Drama and now with BBC Entertainment, BBC Comedy, BBC New Talent and BBC Radio Entertainment & Comedy - the home of Little Britain, Strictly Come Dancing and The Weakest Link.
I’ve trained as a career counsellor and run job interview skills workshops. I regularly write about career matters.
