Dani Burns is a digital marketing and communications specialist, whose passion is to manage online marketing deliverables and cultivate conversations with customers.
In 2006, Dani graduated with honors from Syracuse University with a Bachelor’s degree in English & Textual Studies. While at Syracuse, she studied literature, memoir, and film, as well as language and semantics (quickly becoming a self-proclaimed “word nerd”). Dani’s experience at Syracuse ignited her interest in online media and communication, which later became her full-time pursuit.
Dani began her career as a Program Manager for Coleman Lew & Associates, Inc., a retained executive search firm headquartered in Charlotte, NC. At Coleman Lew, Dani helped to launch the Leadership Development Resources program and was responsible for program branding, managing client accounts, and monitoring program deliverables.
At Customshop, an independent, locally owned restaurant in Charlotte, NC, Dani saw an opportunity to manage the marketing communications and public relations for a great company with a slight reputation management problem. As the restaurant’s Community Marketing Director, she handled all media relations, event management, and digital marketing efforts. Dani also set up social media profiles in order to tell the restaurant’s story and to respond to customer comments and reviews online.
Dani’s prior experiences drive her passion for Engageable Media. Currently, Dani is available for project based consulting work and training in the areas of marketing communications, public relations, and internet marketing.
