Conceived, managed, and launched the first teacher-centered social sharing tool for Scholastic, including conceiving and writing grant proposals that landed a total of 2.4 $MM of matching funding from the Hewlett Foundation's OER program. In general: Social media product development for the Scholastic.com Teacher site; mainly social features related to Open Educational Resource (OER) content, video/photo sharing, social portal pages, blogs, discussion management, social currency, and general community strategy. Also managing business iterations to improve site-wide user experience. My role also involves educating and advocating human-centered design process, and producer mentoring.
