For over ten years, I have been managing the food allergies of my two children with the following combined allergies: milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, peanuts, tree nuts, bananas, kiwi, avocado, penicillen, dogs, cats and grass.
Through local Boise schools and the St. Alphonsus Hospital Family Center, I have been facilitating allergy awareness classes for both children and adults in Utah and Idaho since 2007.
Safe Allergy~Friendly Education was launched in 2010. My primary goal is increasing allergy awareness and education via classes in community hospitals, daycares, schools, and summer camps. My educational classes focus on sharing the products and resources available to individuals and groups enabling them to more easily help keep others SAFE in their learning environments.
Through the support and donations of strategic alliances such as St. Alphonsus hospital, video promotions through the Boise CO-OP, local allergy~friendly businesses and community centers, my goal can be achieved. I would like to put into place as many programs as I can for children, adults, teachers and health professional groups wanting to be better prepared with resources/ideas for families they work with who are managing dietary restrictions of any kind.
Through my many years in public speaking and classroom presentations, my primary passion is inspiring and motivating food allergy families to know that depsite their dietary limitations, FOOD ALLERGIES and FUN can go together!
