As a minister of the church it is my first and highest duty to deliver God's Word. As a communication professional I know that there are different ways of addressing different people. Because every congregation consists of people with different backgrounds pastoral calls have to meet people's needs. As a teacher of the church the most important thing for me to remember is that adults won't learn what you want to teach them, but what they want to learn. Congregations are at their best when they do not have to follow the pastor's vision but their own. It is my duty to help them find out what works for them.
