I have been a software industry professional since 1989. As an experienced software architect & product designer, my philosophy is that technology should be engineered for immediate use – no instructions necessary.
My specialties include strategic market analysis,
software system architecture, user interface design and data security. I have written successful business plans, design specifications, functional specifications, white papers and sales literature.

I founded Florida Computer Help, LLC with the goal of helping Florida businesses and professional associations maintain mission critical computer operations.
Computer problems mean impaired productivity. Lost work hours mean lost revenue. I analyze system configuration, client / server architecture, disaster recovery policies and Internet security. I then implement proactive processes to prevent future systemic problems. In the event of technical problems I provide 24 hour support.

Total System Solutions was a vertical market custom software development company. Using the 1991 precursor to VBA, I developed document automation systems for corporate clients such as the Rockefeller Center Management Corporation, Deloitte & Touche, and the Unum Life Insurance Company. I solicited accounts, designed the software architecture, wrote code and utilized outsourced programming resources.
Shifting away from custom contracts, I later developed three commercial software packages. Among the first products to be certified Microsoft Office® Compatible, these programs were well received by users and reviewers. For example, in 1993 PC Magazine wrote that Fileware was one of the “48 Best Add-In” programs, and PC Week wrote that it “...adds a good selection of file and program management features that were left out of Word for Windows.”
Bachelor of Fine Arts , Film , 1979 — 1983
In 1983 I shared the film festival award for Best Documentary on a Social Issue.
