I love what I do!

As a speaker/faciltator and career coach, I inspire others to believe in themselves, embrace change, see the big picture, seize opportunities, and persevere through adversity. Past engagements include keynote messages and interactive seminars at Duke University, North Carolina State University, two Convention & Tourism Bureaus (Chicago and Raleigh), and various conferences.

In addition to growing my speaking business, Think Big Picture, LLC, I serve as a Seminar Facilitator and Career Coach for Right Management, the global leader in career transition and organizational development. Prior to motivating others through group facilitation and individual coaching, I worked in recruiting for Sea World of Florida and the Hilton - Disney World Resort. I am certified in the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI®) and the author of an inspirational, easy-read book, Customer Service – Thinking Big Picture.

Throughout my career, I have been fortunate enough to meet many extraordinary people.

  • Seminar Facilitator & Career Consultant - Contract/Part Time

    Right Management

(Public Company; MAN; Management Consulting industry)

    1996Present (13 years)

In this exciting role, I make a difference in the lives of those in career transition through workshop facilitation and individual coaching. The classes I facilitate, in engaging fashion, are self marketing, networking, interviewing, negotiation strategies, and the effective use Linkedin®. The professionals I motivate are of varying backgrounds and industries, including engineering, home building, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and retail. It's very rewarding work!

  • Career Coach

    University of Central Florida

    (Educational Institution; Higher Education industry)

    19901994 (4 years)

This was the turning point in my career as I discovered my passion for motivating others through seminar facilitations and coaching. In addition to coaching students and using my high energy style to deliver seminars at events on campus, I collaborated with the career center team to coordinate recruiting events with more than 100 employers.

  • Employment Manager

    Hilton - Disney World Village

    (Hospitality industry)

    19891990 (1 year)

It was an honor to work for this 813-room resort in a full time recruiting capacity. A contribution I am proud of was the enhancement of the resort's new-hire orientation integrating an "exemplary guest service" component. I also represented the resort at job fairs and college recruiting events.

  • Recruiter

    SeaWorld Orlando

    (Public Company; Entertainment industry)

    19861989 (3 years)

In this exhilarating human resources position with the world's largest marine life park, I interfaced regularly with hiring managers while recruiting for non-exempt and exempt positions. I found new-hire orientations to be an absolute blast! Another fun component of this position was representing the attraction at recruitment events.

Dan Galloway’s Interests:

I enjoy taking my wife out on Saturday morning breakfast dates, playing UNO with my daughter and watching her sing and dance, as well as listening to the music my son has written and recorded with a friend. While on the subject of musical artists, I enjoy the music of Bruce Hornsby, Genesis, Marillion, Neal Morse, and Jason Upton. Exercise-wise, I began swimming laps regularly in late 2007, and the results have been significant! This activity balances out my lack of resistance to pizza, cheeseburgers, sweet & sour chicken and strawberry waffles.
