I've 15 years of working experience in creating excellence, change & transformation in organisations. I'm the founder & Principal Consultant of the MINDEF Innovation & Transformation Office (2001-07). I was instrumental in creating her Innovation Framework & Pipeline, & Jumpstart; the change management programme that brought creativity, innovation & entrepreneurship to the Ministry of Defence & Singapore Armed Forces (http://xxiaohao.blogspot.com/search/label/Credentials). Through the years, I have developed competencies and skills in creating conversations and interventions for change, like the MINDEF iGame, iThink (http://www.innovationtools.com/PDF/Mass_Ideation_Process.pdf) & iDive. I’ve designed consultation & facilitation tools & processes, & delivered these as organisational interventions to obtain intended outcomes.

I hold a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration (Operational Management & Logistics) with the National University of Singapore and Master Degree in Education (Leadership, Policy & Change) with the Monash University. Currently, I’m working on my PhD with the University of Western Australia. Besides these, I hold the Graduate Diplomas & Diplomas with the Institute of Management Consultant (Singapore), Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK), Association of Business Executives (UK), Institute of Administrative Management (UK). I'm a member of the International Association of Facilitators and a fully certified trainer by the Institute of Adult Learning.

    Sailing Experience

    I sail the Laser Standard since 1995, and I am currently placed 10th (11th in Mar 07) in Singapore. This is a ranking table of Laser sailors in Singapore, which is managed by the Singapore Sailing Federation. I have also accumulated extensive water time on other classes of boats – Optimists, Topper, Bytes, 420, 470 and Keel Boats.

    Currently, I am with the SAFYC’s High Performance Squad. Mr Tony Tan, the 2007's Talent Development Coaching Award recipient, and who coached Olympian sailors Dr Ben Tan, Stanley Tan, and Tracey Tan, is my coach since 2003. My other coaches included Coach Hu and Ms Tracey Tan.

    I was the Assistant Manager for the National University of Singapore Co-operative Society during this period. I assumed this position as a full time staff between 1991 to 1994 before converting to part-time to persue my studies at the university.

    I was instrumental in updating the marketing strategies and retail mix of the 3 retail outlets, and modernising their backend operations, which resulted in an increase their market penetration in the campus and their sales and revenue performance.
