Dan Dunlop is President of Jennings, a North Carolina-based branding and advertising agency. A marketer, author, blogger and public speaker, Dan brings to audiences a unique combination of marketing scholarship, real-world experience, and an engaging presentation style. He recently spoke at the 2009 Forum on Customer Based Marketing and the 2009 CHPRMS Spring Conference. In 2008, he spoke at the Forum on Customer Based Marketing and the Annual Conference of the Society for Healthcare Strategy & Market Development. He was the keynote speaker at the 2008 New England Society for Healthcare Communications Conference. Dan has also been a speaker at the Conference of the Association of American Medical Colleges, the American Chamber of Commerce Executives National Conference, and the NCCCS Public Relations, Information and Marketing Association.
Dan has served as a guest lecturer at the UNC School of Public Health, Duke University Markets & Management Program, and UNC’s Kenan Flagler School of Business. His experience as a brand strategist for institutions within the Life Sciences includes work with leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology firms, medical device manufacturers, and numerous hospitals including Tufts Medical Center, UNC Health Care, Southern New Hampshire Medical Center, Rex Healthcare, University Health Systems of Eastern Carolina, UVa Health System, Lexington Medical Center and First Health of the Carolinas.
Dan is the co-author of a chapter on the topic of marketing medical practices for the text “Practice Management from the Physician’s Perspective” by Jossey-Bass. He has also recently contributed articles to Healthcare Marketing Report and Marketing Health Services (AMA publication), and has been featured in Managed Healthcare Executive, Healthcare Advertising Review, and Healthcare Marketing Report. He serves on the national advisory board of Healthcare Marketing Advisor.
