Recruiting talented financial services professionals for Altura Credit Union for the last 8 years!
Greater Los Angeles Area
After spending 10 years in the mortgage banking industry doing a little bit of everything, I fell into staffing and can't seem to get out of it!! I am a very passionate person and I LOVE to put that passion to work for a credit union that shares my mission, vision and values. I left Altura Credit Union for a period of time to sharpen my skills as a headhunter, but I am so excited to report that I was asked to come back to the position I love - and they will have to pry my cold dead fingers off the keyboard to get rid of me this time!
I love communicating with my internal customers as well as candidates, and I do my best to facilitate the closest match possible to the wants and needs of all parties involved. My favorite moment is when the offer is made and accepted, and that warm and fuzzy feeling that happens when you realize what a major impact you have had in someone's life. I also have a special place in my heart for good old-fashioned negotiation - and I love to win.
One of my proudest moments came recently, when me and my colleague, Ricki McManius, were featured in a story in Riverside Magazine about the workshops Altura Credit Union is doing in our field of membership. In this terrible economy, Ricki and I have developed workshops tailored to help members and non-members learn how to write a resume, interview well and network both face-to-face and on-line. We do the workshops in branches, at schools and even have a 5-week "Altura Academy" with in-depth feedback sessions for attendees. I'm so happy to be a part of an organization that cares so much about the community. You can read all about us starting on page 21, here:

I'm still working on that title - having a little trouble convincing the VP of HR that "Recruiting Goddess" is perfectly acceptable!
Returned in summer of 2007 to the job that I was born to do, with the credit union I love. Responsible for sourcing and recruiting top talent to the team here at Altura Credit Union. I've recruited for everything from part-time tellers to voluntary Board members, with lots of sales, lending and operations positions in between. I'm blessed to have been able to return to my niche and I'm very passionate about what I do!
