Lead ColdFusion Developer working as a Government Contractor
Urbana-Champaign, Illinois Area
My professional experience so far seems to have all been as a Government contractor, more specifically for the military. It sounds a lot more exciting than it is! I've always had that mentality of the client's client for the past six years I believe and meeting both their expectations, along with your actual employers is an interesting adventure somedays.

(Government Agency; Information Technology and Services industry)
October 1999 — April 2004 (4 years 7 months)
This position started as a junior developer and consultant to the Air Force, performing basic web development services to one of their research divisions. The position evolved and expanded annually as its customer base grew and eventually outpaced available staff time. My involvement also evolved as the primary developers transitioned away from the project I slowly increased m responsibility level, eventually assuming the lead for the group.
The position required an extensive knowledge of XHTML, CSS, Image manipulation tools, and quickly learning customer requirement driven tools on the fly. An extensive ability to juggle multiple tasks while still meeting deadlines and expectation levels was also critical.
ColdFusion, all kinds of music, gadgets, more gadgets.
