Professional Biography
Dallas Lawrence provides Levick clients with more than a dozen years of senior international, federal, state, local, and private sector leadership, ensuring the management and oversight of vital global online communications.
As head of Levick’s Digital Media team, Mr. Lawrence develops and implements strategies to most effectively reach key audiences as well as to minimize attacks against clients on blogs, web sites, social networks, email, and other online forums.
Before joining Levick, Mr. Lawrence served as Vice President for New Media for the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM). There he built a New Media team and leveraged emerging digital, blog, and web 2.0 technologies to advance the legislative and public affairs agenda of the association’s 11,000 member companies.
Mr. Lawrence served for more than five years as a trusted member of President Bush’s communications team, representing the White House and two cabinet agencies in more than a dozen countries during some of the most challenging public affairs crises of the President’s administration.
Mr. Lawrence served Secretaries Rumsfeld and Gates as director of the Office of Community Relations and Public Liaison for the Department of Defense, coordinating all outreach with community, civic, and media analyst groups as well as directing all corporate affairs and global public liaison efforts in more than 175 countries.
Prior to his DoD service, Mr. Lawrence was tapped by the White House to serve as a spokesperson for Ambassador L. Paul Bremer and the Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq.
Mr. Lawrence also spent several years managing state and local political campaigns, working on Capitol Hill as a communications director, and advising dozens of House and Senate candidates on effective campaign and message strategies. Mr. Lawrence is a commissioned reserve public affairs officer in the United States Navy and holds a Top Secret security clearance.
