At Carnegie Mellon I was a student representative for my program. I assisted with program planning problems and address student and faculty concerns. In addition I was advocate for increasing awareness and applicants to the program by traveling to universities and talking to potential students.

During my undergraduate years at Allegheny I was very active with my fraternity, student government, and other organizations. Along with eleven other people I founded a new group on campus, Organization for Networking Together with Alumni and Professionals (ONTAP), that aims to bring speakers onto campus that might otherwise not come to a small school. In addition it facilitates opportunities for students to interact with alumni and others from the community. I left after my third year to continue my education at Carnegie Mellon as part of an accelerated masters program.
