Cynthia Guajardo’s Summary

After a fairly lengthy tenure employed with United Airlines, I returned to school to finish a BFA at the University of Southern Maine in 2002. In 2004, my family and I moved to Denver, CO and I started Colorado Art Studio, a small business, out of my home.

I am returning to school this year to study landscape architecture at the University of Colorado at Denver and hope to graduate with a MLA degree in 2011. I look forward to a creative career that combines design and my interest in creating sustainable, ecologically sensitive environments that are also people friendly.

I worked for United Airlines as an active employee from Nov. 1988 to Jan. 2002. I took an extended leave of absence after the events of 9/11 to return to school. I was recalled in 2005 and resigned from the company.

After completing one semester as a MLA candidate, I took a leave of absence to stay home with my daughter. Now that my daughter is in middle school, I am returning to the University of Colorado at Denver to finish graduate school in August 2009. I hope to graduate in 2011.
