For almost two decades, I have worked in IT, management and entrepreneurial environments, spanning IP networking software development, distributed systems and the Internet. As one of America Online's early employees, I wrote AOL's first Internet gateway. Later I helped architect and develop AOL Instant Messenger. During my tenure as Director of AIM Host Development, I designed and implemented key components of the system and co-authored patented technology for AIM.
After leaving AOL, I launched WebG2, Inc., offering innovative online business intelligence services. Since then, I've worked with numerous startups and early-stage ventures, in industries ranging from food service to construction to music, in roles ranging from investor and member of the Board of Directors to programmer.
I am an experienced software architect, technical team leader, and project manager. I enjoy the challenges of aligning IT organizations with business goals, and my experience demonstrates strong business acumen and a successful track record of business/IT analysis and implementation.
As a technology generalist, I have an extensive background in entrepreneurship and business across a range of industries. I am an excellent communicator with strong analytical, writing, and research skills.
