I have over 18 years of experience with managing, consulting and software development projects and technology initiatives. I specialize in .Net Development using C#. Responsible for design and development of a new system in .Net to validate/normalize flat files for deriving reports. Served as Team Lead for architecture and development of an Asp.Net document management system supportable for enterprise-wide solutions, which entailed assimilating three separate applications developed in various languages, both win-form and web-based, into a single application. A smaller project included assisting in the re-factoring of VB6 code to C# for a particular in-house process.
Aug 2005 – May 2006: Client was a Financial Services company providing SaaS solutions to small to mid-sized banks and credit unions
Role: Sr. Software Developer
Refactored and extended existing web app in C#, as well as developing normalized SQL table structures, Views, and Stored Procs. Code refactored to 3-tier best practices. Developed an original framework utilized for Testing and Debugging which provided views of all state throughout a thread's execution.
At this SaaS provider of logistics-spend management solutions, I began developing with .Net (C#) back in 2000 when it was still in beta. VB6 was used widespread in the development of in-house processes and utilities as well. I shepherded a suite of 12 VB6 core component dlls for all aspects of high volume business processes, where I maintained version control and all bug fixes. Developed and maintained a VB6 application for attaching relationships between freight bill information and scanned paper images, making them available to customers for online look up, as well as a generic .Net XML configuration based SQL data extraction utility. Designed and developed an automated monitoring utility to identify websites that contained stale data, attempt to automatically refresh the data, and if not successful after reaching a threshold - to finally push an alert to Operations Dept. personnel to resolve.
From a relational database standpoint, I developed normalized SQL databases, created views, stored procedures and leveraged BCP for extracting large amounts of data. Designed and developed a system for receiving data feeds as attachments and moving them to appropriate network locations for later parsing. This included pushing alerts to internal contacts via email. Also made myself visible to the customer, providing level I & II support for technologies as needed. Where possible, I documented, trained and transferred level I support to customer support and process operations teams.
Held numerous roles during my tenure at Par Technologies. As a Sales Representative, Imarketed software, hardware and peripherals to educational institutions throughout the United States. As a manager and hardware systems engineer, I assisted with the creation and management of a network services division for PAR Tech, as well as performing MCSE tasks for clients out in the field.
In addition to managing day to day operations for highly visible and well-known clubs, I supervised a staff of 25 employees, and successfully ran several private membership tournament seasons. I was also very involved in the community and volunteered time by introducing golf to juniors for the Southwest PGA Section. Managed sales and customer satisfaction, taught private lessons as well as clinics, and won the PGA Top 100 Golf Shops of America Award for Marriott’s Camelback Golf Club.
Served as a Research Analyst, building over ten thousand cases for claims of fraudulent and/or erroneous charges to customer accounts. Toward the end of my tenure with the bank, I handled Executive/premium tier accounts, and was named Employee of the Month for the Pleasanton, CA. office containing over 400 employees.
Visited more than sixty-five chapters at colleges and universities throughout the United States. Met, advised, taught and counseled thousands of student members on a variety of undergraduate programs and problems including recruitment/sales techniques, business management and bookkeeping, alcohol and drug awareness programs, scholastic and cultural affairs, community service programs, membership education, alumni affairs, fund-raising, conduct and disciplinary problems, legal liabilities, and many more. Developed audio-visual programs for leadership conferences as well as conference, convention and leadership school planning for groups ranging from 20 to 800 people; development of training manuals. Conducted numerous leadership training workshops. Upon the completion of my one year post I was presented with the Distinguished Service Award for my outstanding efforts.
