BS , Electrical Engineering , 2001 — 2006
My engineering coursework at UCSB focused mainly on traditional electrical engineering topics. But at the same time I also maintained my interest in computer science (and the web) by taking programming classes that gave me the opportunity to gain experience with C/C++, Java/JSP, PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript. Also, I took 2 years worth of Japanese language courses at UCSB to continue my Japanese studies that I started while studying at Tohoku University.
Electrical Engineering 2004 — 2004
Participated in the JYPE international exchange program, which provides an opportunity for engineers to study at Tohoku University in Sendai, Japan. Conducted research in a graduate lab with professor Fumiyuki Adachi regarding wireless transmissions in mobile networks (channels). Research included producing wireless channel simulations programmed in C/C++.
