At DECA Chris is responsible for recruiting, training, mentoring, motivating and leading their world class technology team as well as overseeing all aspects of identifying, architecting, developing, implementing and maintaining technology solutions to meet the company’s strategic business objectives
Chris’s prior experience includes
- Managing and building all technical aspects of Break Media’s newest successful startups: Chickipedia.com, Holytaco.com and Cagepotato.com
- Architecting Break.com’s technical infrastructure from the ground up, which currently sustains 30 million page views a day.
- Building Break.com’s engineering staff and establishing a productive and efficient build/dev and source control process.
- Leading the design and development of high profile and high traffic web sites while working at the Walt Disney Internet Group (ESPN, go.com, disney.com, etc).
- Collaborating with other engineers and developing Belkin.com’s first web shopping portal.
- Consulting and advising for many other successful web properties/startups.
- Four years of active duty in the United States Navy
