As Red Door’s Social Media Strategist, Crosby Noricks develops and executes social media strategy and online PR outreach. In addition to proactive online influencer/blogger relations, her role includes monitoring the social media conversation, identifying and pursuing engagement opportunities, social media profile management and helping to promote Red Door’s online activities and client successes.

Crosby is founder and editor of PR Couture.com, a fashion PR blog currently ranked #1 on Google. Through PR Couture, Crosby has been interviewed and profiled as a fashion marketing expert in several industry trade publications, fashion and PR blogs. In 2009, PR Couture was named one The Top 50 Niche Blogs by Evan Carmichael.

In addition, Crosby teaches a Public Relations and Promotions course to fashion marketing students at the Art Institute San Diego.

Previous professional experience includes multifarious PR agency work in the fashion, interior design, hospitality and non-profit sectors specializing in new media and blogger outreach. In addition, Crosby spent 2 years managing the in-house public relations and marketing department for an online fashion jewelry and accessories company, where her skills in brand-building and online promotions regularly led to her securing high-impact media placements in national fashion and lifestyle publications.

Crosby received a Masters of Arts in Mass Communication and Media Studies from San Diego State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies and Gender/Feminist Studies from Pitzer College. Her master’s thesis, “From Style to Strategy: An Exploratory Investigation of Public Relations Practice in the Fashion Industry” was the first academic study of its kind. Highlights from this work were presented at the 2009 Popular Culture Association Conference in New Orleans in April, 2009.
