Sound London (previously owned by Planet Hollywood) is one of the premier nightspots located in Leicester Square, London and I was brought on board during a difficult period of receivership in order to ensure the smooth running of the accounting function for this prestigious night club and restaurant.

Before and during the receivership period, Sound London was host to the "The Pepsi Chart Show" and the likes of Brittany Spears, Madonna, Robbie Williams and Spice Girls amongst other famous performers would play here regularly.

Despite the club having zero credit facilities, staffing issues and no credit line due to the receivership, I was able to carefully work with the cash flow generated by the club and make sure staff were paid, suppliers and tax man were happy and brought the club into positive cash flow within a period of 8 months.

I believe my strong experience in revenue control and stock management proved an added benefit to the success of this position however the first 6 months saw me working 14 -16 hour days in order to make sure that we could get the club back on track which at the time of my departure I had successfully accomplished.

I started working at the age of 13 as a busboy in a restaurant in Greece after my parents emigrated there. I have worked hard throughout my life and given time to reading books and learn things first hand.

I have never been out of a job and never claimed unemployment benefit and never been given or asked for handouts, its not my style.

Yes, I have attended a few courses over the years which has added to my experience but I am a trial and error guy and I have a knack for quickly understanding things and how they work which is why I have managed to be so successful in my life.

I have been an bus boy, accountant, head waiter, manager, director and now a serious internet professional, all achieved through hard knocks and resolve.

I have travelled extensively throughout the world and visited many lands and met many different peoples and cultures and I would not swap any of it for a university or college education.
