Often frequent telephone and e-mail contact with vendors throughout the day, as well as with other corporate employees regarding leather sets. • Merchandising Manager

    The Museum Company #32

    (Retail industry)

    September 1995March 1996 (7 months)

Relocated from the Las Vegas location to take over the Merchandise Management position in the store. This position was responsible for every aspect of the store sales floor - from merchandising displays to customer service, as well as management of sales people. This required an extensive "eye for detail" as well as exemplary customer service and support skills. An ability to quickly transition from one "thought process" (such as creating merchandise displays) to another (such as customer support) was a requirement and an easy thing for me to do. Responsible for all aspects of the sales floor for the location, including opening and closing the store, end of day paperwork and submissions and banking for the store.

  • Warehouse Manager/Operations Manager

    The Museum Company #21

    (Retail industry)

    September 1991September 1995 (4 years 1 month)

The Museum Company specialized in museum reproductions and merchandise based upon world famous works of art, with reproductions from nearly every major museum and collection in the world. They were a full-line retailer, with merchandise in several categories - fine jewelry, costume jewelry, apparel, paper goods, children's toys & games, home decor (statuary & paintings), giftware and more.

Responsible for retail sales floor activities (started as part time Holiday Help) and became the operations manager of the warehouse and stock for the store. As on of the highest volume stores in the chain (10 months/year - the highest volume store), merchandise was constantly being received (and shipped for out of town visitors & customers), we maintained a 2000 sf stock room as well as an offsite storage warehouse, both of which I was responsible for.

Relocated to another store (Newport Beach, California) to become the Merchandising Manager.
