I launched CraftyChica.com in 2001, and it now receives between 2-3 million hits a month and has become one of the leading web portals in the craft world. The site has hundreds of original DIY projects (all designed by me), interviews, videos, trend features, business and networking tips, and a blog.
I love the creative arts industry, and have made it a goal to work full-time either writing or making art. I'm now doing both! Aside from my syndicated newspaper column, I have authored seven books andhave worked with companies such as Michaels Arts and Crafts, Target, HarperCollins, Random House, Lifetime Networks, Scripps Howard Networks and many others.
I just designed my own Crafty Chica product line that is currently sold in select Michaels stores across the country until the end of Oct 2008, and year round on Amazon.com. Other retail outlets to come!
In addition to craft design and fiction-writing, I also teach creativity and brand-building workshops.
Look for "Crafty Chica's Guide to Sewing (Potter Craft) in Feb 2009, and my debut novel, Love Shine (Grand Central Publishing) in March 2010.
You can see me on HGTV, DIY Network and LifetimeTV.com.
