Ruby on Rails Developer at Park Assist
Providence, Rhode Island Area
In November of 2006, I took a position as lead developer for a new web startup, RatePoint, Inc. Over the next 6 weeks we developed www.ratepoint.com in Ruby on Rails and the site went public in January of 2007.
I left RatePoint in September of 2007 after launching RatePoint's Consumer Badge Ratings Program and joined the team at wis.dm. At wis.dm we expanded our binary Q&A site into a much larger site and sold the company in September of 2008.
Starting in September 2008, I took a position with Park Assist and began work on launching their web platform to support their car park infrastructure technology.
I also worked as a Software Consultant for Computer Associates, Inc. in Smithfield, RI from 2003 - 2006. Since 2000 and during my employment at Computer Associates, I have also worked as a freelance web developer. In 2006 I started my own company, Dr. J Enteprises, LLC as a software and web development company.
I am looking for further grow my web development experience and am looking to work full-time as a web developer in the New England area.
