My position at Aquila was a contract-to-hire position through TekSystems. I worked as a member of a two man team to bring their logistics center online. We consolidated all surplus hardware and software from 4 sites throughout the city into a central repository. We maintained corporate technology asset inventory and I assisted in development of the database and the front-end interface design. After 4 weeks I was hired into a full time position in the logistics center.

Early in my career, the staff at PDS provided exposure to a variety of computer systems that ranged from simple to complex. The company was located in a small town environment and I was required to quickly adapt to a myriad of challenges. Literally everything: ranging from the farmer’s tractor PCMCIA slot being clogged with dirt, to building entire networks for schools and local businesses. I was an integral part of the web development team to provide front end design. Those early-career day to day challenges shaped my innovative approach to solutions involving a wide array of technical and people skills.
