I'm a working CS student who came to the field after exposure to interactive media design in my undergraduate years. I'm interested in web applications, AI, computer vision, graphics, user interaction, and search technology. My school primarily teaches in Java, but I have learned the fundamental aspects of programming languages from assembly to fully object oriented languages.

The dev team at DailyLit is small, which means I have many hats to wear here. I'm writing, testing, debugging, and deploying code for UI, front, and back-end features. I've gotten systems administration experience with setting up servers for migration and new back-end features. Also, I've worked directly with the CTO to get experience on what projects make sense to run with and how to schedule upcoming projects.

I've worked on campus for the Computing Services team that builds and maintains the entire campus network. Along with the technical services in this role, I also have to interact with faculty, staff, and students to solve hardware/software problems.
I have been the TA for Artificial Intelligence, Web Programming, Robotics, Operating Systems, and Introduction to Computing. Some of these courses have required me to hold and instruct labs.

I designed a JSP UI for a mobile phone carrier that interfaced with a Java application running on Tomcat. I gained valuable experience with the deployment of Java applications to servers, and management of databases that are the backbone of the application. I devised an in-house encryption methodology that had to be reliable in Java and Perl, and had to be called from Apache Server and the Java application.

I was selected by Mills Professor Almudena Konrad to assist her on a project for TRUST (The Team for Research in Ubiquitous Secure Technology), which gave me an introduction to system modeling. I also assisted Dr. Konrad with her ongoing research in adaptive wireless network protocols.
