Currently at Westwood Schools, in Camilla, Georgia, Vicki is transforming the way people think about teaching. Her co-created Flat Classroom project won ISTE's award for Best Online Learning Project for 2007 and was included in version 3 of Thomas Friedman's book The World is Flat. She has also co-founded two other award winning projects including the Horizon Project and the Digiteen project (digital citizenship.) More than 500 students in 11 countries have participated in these projects.
Vicki blogs at the popular Cool Cat Teacher blog, is a blogger for Tech Learning, is a co founder of the Women of Web 2.
Vicki has presented at many online conferences and at some face to face conferences (when her teaching schedule allows) including a recent keynote at Google Teacher Academy in 2008. She is a member of ISTE and the CSTA.
Vicki has written for several publications about Web 2 technologies in the classroom and continues to pursue freelance work both writing for magazines and course content development work and consulting.
Vicki's goal is to publish inspirational, instructional books and blogs helping people adapt and learn in a changing technology-centric society and further the cause of global collaborative projects between the classrooms of the world.
