Are you not on the web but want to be?
Are you on the web but not happy with the way you look there? Or sound there?
While we're at it, are you happy with the way you're communicating who you are to the world? Do you love handing out your business card? Sending people to your website?
If you're really, really great at what you do and really, really passionate about doing it but not firing on all pistons, let's talk.
Chances are, I can help you refine your message. Translate that idea in your head into a business identity, or a website, or a kickass presentation.
And if I can't, I can probably direct you to someone who can. That's the nice thing about being the communicatrix—you meet the most interesting people...
Branding & identity design, presentation design, marketing, performance, writing.

October 2006 — Present (1 year 10 months)
I am your Sherpa on the odyssey of self-discovery, there to hand you a Larabar when you're hungry & a hearty laugh when your metaphoric toes are losing sensation from frostbite.
I am your trusted filter, weeding out the detritus of modern life so that you can get to the good stuff that much faster.
I am your buddy, your clown and, when I'm "on", your Fool. In the Shakespearian sense. (Hint: think wisdom coming at you sideways, not dumbass eating paste.)

I've officially been "the communicatrix" since 11/04, with the launch of my eponymous (well, eponymous in terms of the handle) blog. And I've been farting around in various communications disciplines since about 1962, when word has it I actually started using words. LinkedIn's system of ordering by date (rules! rules! cursed, lowest-common-denominator-driven rules!) forces me to futz with start date in order to get this info bubbling up on top.

I launched and maintain this business blog for Marketing Mentor principals Ilise Benun and Peleg Top. Designed to serve the community created by their consulting business, the Marketing Mix also provides tips and insight on self-promotion, marketing and management to the small business community, posting 3 - 5x weekly.

Now unofficially retired from acting (my agent prefers the term "extended hiatus," which is one of the reasons he's my agent), I'm putting my hard-won knowledge to good use helping the little chickens starting out. If they make only 9/10ths of the mistakes I made, they will be ahead of the game.

Yes, that's right—I was one of the mythic 5% of Screen Actors Guild members who actually supported themselves with acting. There were a few TV shows and films in there (and a whole lot of unpaid theater work), but in the main, I played the goofy housewife, the funny friend, the whack-job business gal in :30 wind sprints for roughly 8 years.
(Non-Profit; 11-50 employees; Performing Arts industry)

As designer of record for this highly-regarded small theater in Los Angeles, I created graphic standards, oversaw the creation of the company's original website, personally designed and maintained the 2.0 version and designed the company's marketing materials for 4-5 productions/year.
