    The Columbus Doula

    (Health, Wellness and Fitness industry)

    May 2005August 2008 (3 years 4 months)

My "Columbus Doula" business was rolled my new facility, The Hopewell Center for Perinatal Services.

Independent Perinatal Practitioner. The "Columbus Doula" offered Labor & Postpartum Doula Services, Belly Casting Service and Perinatal Education.

Studies have revealed that doula support & education during this amazing transition has had profound benefits on mother, child & family.

A doula is professionally trained in labor support. She does not use any medical skills, does not offer medical advice and does not deliver the baby. She is caring and compassionate & is knowledgeable about a variety of laboring and birthing matters.

A Postpartum doulas’s expertise in mother and baby care enables her to assist with postpartum comfort measures, breastfeeding support, non-judgmental guidance in infant care techniques and in assisting the whole family through this major transition.
