Collin has been working in the digital communications arena for over 13 years. As an advertising ex-patriot, Collin served as Group Creative Director at MacLAREN McCANN (MMRM) in Toronto Canada. He led many creative teams on Pontiac, Buick, GMC and GM Canada corporate programs. He has also directed programs for Rogers, Coca-Cola, Fido, Roche, Purdue and TD Canada Trust in his interactive marketing career.
Now a pure play social media consultant and strategist, Collin has focused his work on recent contracts including one with Social Media Group and the Ford Motor Company in Dearborn Michigan.
Collin developed strategy for several Ford Social Media programs including Social Media Press Releases (SMPR), blogger outreach initiatives, enthusiast activation programs, social network programs, crisis management procedures and more. He also drafted Ford Motor Companies' Global Employee Guidelines for Digital Communications
Collin offers talks on the principles of Social Media. In the past year, he has presented keynotes for PricewaterhouseCoopers, the CWC and many marketing and communication conferences. He has been honored to guest lecture at University of Toronto, Ryerson, University of Ontario and Centennial College. He recently participated in a social media measurement summit hosted by Thornley Fallis in Toronto.
Collin frequently publishes his learning on the Canadian Marketing Association Blog, Marketing Magazine, Media in Canada and various trade magazines and podcasts.
