Currently I am a literary agent at FinePrint Literary Management, specializing in representing authors of fantasy, science fiction, YA fantasy, graphic novels, commercial and literary fiction, pop culture and works of LGBT interest, among others. For a full list of my interests and my submission guidelines, please visit my website at theswivet.com.
I have eleven years experience in marketing, publicity and brand management in publishing. For five years I served as Assistant Director of Publicity for Ballantine Books, a division of the Random House Publishing Group, specializing in science fiction, fantasy, pop culture, YA fantasy, graphic novels and third-party licensed media. I was responsible for building and managing relationships with our third-party licensors, coordinating marketing and media campaigns with such notable media clients as Sony Pictures, Lucasfilm LTD, Microsoft Xbox, New Line Cinema, Fox, and Turner Broadcasting.
I excelled in using the Internet as a viral marketing tool, utilizing blogs, message boards, chat rooms, street teams and e-newsletters to help break out Del Rey and LucasBooks authors, and to build the Del Rey Manga, Del Rey and LucasBooks brands.
