Colleen Aylward’s Summary

With a business degree from University of Washington, followed by 24 years of high tech sales and management experience in large and small companies, including NCSS, Dun & Bradstreet Computing, Comshare, Carlyle Systems, and GEAC, Colleen came to the Recruiting industry in 1990 on a soapbox of Change.

Having been an executive focused on Client Solutions for years, she made a point to meet with every client company she dealt with. What she found in that down market of the early 90s was a typical Catch 22—clients who needed to ramp up couldn’t afford to. They needed to spend their seed or Series A funding on salaries, not headhunter fees. So she dug back to the "solution selling" training of her background and created one of the first RPOs (Recruitment Process Outsourcers) in the country and called it the Onsite Recruiting War Room model which took off immediately, and has earned Devon James Associates a steady stream of referrals since she founded the firm in 1992.

Colleen and her forward-thinking ideas have been featured in such magazines as Fast Company, Wall Street Journal, Smart Money, Washington CEO, Puget Sound Business Journal, Inc. Magazine, and Office.com.

Since 2005, she founded a new venture that will solve even more issues for hiring managers and candidates alike: InterviewStudio -- a bleeding edge software platform that captures everything about a candidate that a hiring manager/recruiter would need to know in order to determine whether to spend the time and dollars to bring him/her in for a round of serious interviews. On one screen in one place, a viewer can see the Resume, a Video Interview, Endorsements from collegues, the results of a 5th-generation online Assessment test, Profile information, LinkedIn profile, and whatever Google has to say about that candidate.

Now running two companies, DJA and InterviewStudio.com, she is doubly dedicated to providing world class services and products to the recruitment industry.
