July 2009 — Present (5 months)
Work on development of Abaqus/Standard, Implicit Contact.
(Mechanical or Industrial Engineering industry)
October 2008 — June 2009 (9 months)
(Educational Institution; 1001-5000 employees; Higher Education industry)
August 2004 — August 2008 (4 years 1 month)
Investigated failure mechanisms in advanced multi-material structures with emphasis on thermo-mechanical fatigue of thermal barrier coatings. Developed finite element models and performed analyses for solid structures using ABAQUS. Designed and programmed computational schemes (in context of finite element method) using ABAQUS, Python language, ABAQUS Scripting Interface and FORTRAN. Coded various subroutines for ABAQUS, including constitutive responses in UMAT user subroutine. Coded programs for FEM related pre-/post-processing tasks. Programmed finite element software (including the support mathematical library) in Visual C++. Provided ABAQUS support to undergraduate research assistants in Computational Mechanics Lab. Administrated and maintain the computers in the Computational Mechanics Lab.
(Privately Held; 11-50 employees; Information Technology and Services industry)
September 2000 — August 2003 (3 years )
Designed and developed software solutions (based on MS SQL Server, Visual C++, MFC, ODBC, DAO technologies).
Prepared training courses and provided training and technical support for CATIA V5 and CADDS 5i software for CAD modeling and NC machining (i.e. CAM) applications.
Developed and maintained the company web-site (www.cybernetics.ro).
