Lead Magpie operates by entering leads in an eBay-style auction where the highest bidder wins the lead. Leads are automatically checked for invalid data and are delivered within seconds via e-mail and text message. Razorfish is the world’s largest digital agency and has won numerous international awards for its work. I was involved with two projects in the Sydney studio:

- MSN Friend Magnet – Senior .NET Developer

Design & development of a high-profile web game designed to increase the number of registered MSN Messenger users.

I was solely responsible for the design and development of a prize engine service, which was audited by the many different Gaming and Gambling boards across Australia. I also made considerable contribution to the back-end game code and implemented a repeatable build and deployment system for the overall project.

Friend Magnet was the first commercial internet game to use the Windows Messenger API. It was a huge success for MSN, with several million games played. The prize engine service ran without error or interruption, servicing over 10 million game play requests.

- Channel [V] – Technical Lead / Senior .NET Developer

Channel [V] is a subscription television station which broadcasts music video content to several million homes across Australian.

My role as Technical lead was to architect the overall solution and to provide leadership and technical problem-solving abilities within the development team. My client-facing responsibilities included running requirements workshops and supervising sprint meetings. I prepared and conducted technical interviews and recruited 4 developers. I supervised and led 3 other C# developers, an AJAX developer, 2 flash developers and liaised with 4 non-technical staff.

I contributed significantly in the education and adoption of agile development methodologies. I introduced the Scrum framework for the project, winning ‘Employee of the Month’ in the process.

• Integrating the platform with high profile partners, including; MSN, BT, Virgin and Blueyonder

It was very rewarding to work within a team of talented developers on the cutting-edge. I gained invaluable knowledge and experience in developing enterprise applications and the myriad of complex issues involved.
