I started out with the internet in 1994 when i bought my first computer with my own money. I started getting into web development in 1997 by viewing the source code for HTML and then picking up ASP. About a year after using ASP I found PHP and decided to make the switch.
I have been using PHP since 1998. I started to really get involved with web development while creating and managing my own websites. I hit the books hard and started reading everything I could find on website development. I decided not to focus on anything design related but to go for the back-end development.
My library has grown over the years and I have learned so much from all of the dedicated under-paid authors who have written the books.
In 2005 I started up my own company Codebowl Solutions, Inc. While it was somewhat successful I decided to grab a full-time position. I have been working from home since 2005 and I feel that I can be more productive while working at home.

Developing and maintaining the web presence of the company and the company web tools. Working with PHP 5 to create a reporting system and administration areas. I created a project dubbed ISP Keywords that would allow the ISP partners of Namespace to manage a list of keywords which they want to have navigated to their landing pages. I used PHP 5 and the Zend Framework to finish this project just before parting with Namespace.

Web application developer, duties include PHP web development working on migrating a few sites over to their custom framework. Working with their mobile system for use with wap enabled mobile phones. This system will allow users to access the websites from their mobile phones. Also I have been working on an RSS Feed Aggregator based off of the SimplePie library. The Aggregator scours directories for news feeds and indexes them locally in our database for use across several different websites.
Working on the webdate.com mobile application and various other websites using the framework that the company has created.
I have been working on www.politics.com as my primary project for quite a bit of my time. This is a social networking site that centers around... You guessed it POLITICS. The site has taken many turns during the development cycle but is on a steady path now that it has been publicly launched. If you are political in the very least you should check out the site.

I attempted to attend an online college. They hit some technical difficulties and I reported it. I was unable to communicate with the class or the instructor. I reported the issue and was told that I would be enrolled in the next course. When I failed the class I was told that I had to pay for the course before I could take it again.
I quickly decided that this college was not for me because I had to pay for an issue they had. I have yet to return to college due to finances however maybe some day I will.
For now books, courses and experience have provided me with a career that I enjoy.
