Dr. Tonia Richardson, LPC's Summary

As a licensed professional counselor with 15 years experience in the mental health field I have gained many skills and great insight into behavior change. I am now applying those skills and insights as a dissertation coach and life coach. My goal is to help graduate students decrease procrastination, increase creativity, reduce stress, overcome writer's block, balance academics/work/family and much more. The ultimate goal is to support the student to dissertation completion and graduation.

My dissertation is titled "Empirical Support for the Solution-Focused Brief Coaching Model." The study resulted in the following implications for leadership: 1) successful coaching can be accomplished in brief coaching engagements, 2) behavior modeling, in terms of how leaders can interact with others with trust, compassion and communication, is practiced and learned in brief coaching 3) one scale in the study may be used as a definitive measure of ROI, and 4) another measure may be used to determine who may be in need of coaching.

Specialties: Behavior change (coaching, therapy), workshop/training facilitator, writing.
