Greater Chicago Area
Currently I do freelance contract work for web development. I prefer to work in Python and Django, but I have a wide area of expertise. My day job is as a web developer for an advertising agency in Chicago. I do work with ASP, ASP.NET (Vb, C#), PHP, Ruby, and Python on any given day. I also deal with clients directly and through my project managers to draw up scopes of work and technical/functional specifications.
I'm also called upon for my unique and special knowledge of the Internet, Online Culture, Social trends/networking, and my insight into viral marketing as it applies to the "kids" online these days.
I am also experience as a technical journalist and writer in the online publishing realm. I am familiar with online promotion of content and tailoring content to be published online.
I have additional professional experience in wireless telecommunications in my role as an RF Engineer at T-Mobile USA. I'm well versed in GSM cellular networks and technologies within (GPRS, EDGE, AMR, etc). Our particular network ran Nortel equipment, so I'm most familiar with that set of challenges.
I'm also proficient in developing web applications and presences using PHP and database backends as well as Python using a number of application frameworks, most notably Django. In my past job at T-Mobile I developed scripts that processed large amounts of data and produced Excel spreadsheets using COM in a Windows environment using Python as my language of choice.
Web and application development in PHP, Python, ASP, ASP.NET, Ruby, and more. I also have experience with RF planning, optimization, design in PCS1900 GSM networks. Mapinfo, Aircom Asset, Odyssey RF Planning software.
