In his relatively short career, Shawn Clement's trajectory has been fueled by undeniable talent, striking musicality and pure instincts. His dark orchestral sensibilities have created the picture-perfect underscore for over 160 feature film, television and video game projects. A virtual chameleon, navigating between the worlds of television, film and video games, Clement has established a reputation for rock-solid quality on all of his projects.
Recognizing his success, ASCAP presented Clement with the film and television award for Most Performed Underscore in 2000.
Clement's credits include the acclaimed network series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, where in addition to the score, he also created songs that have reached cult status. He has composed for feature films, such as: Bad Girls From Valley High (Universal), starring Christopher Lloyd and Jonathan Brandis, and We Married Margo (New Line), staring Kevin Bacon, Cindy Crawford and Tom Arnold. Clement's music has also been heard on such television shows as American Idol, The Man Show, Police Videos, Married...with Children and The Osbournes.
Clement has also created scores for video games such as Warner Brothers' Batman: Vengeance, which earned him a 2002 AIAS Award Nomination for Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition, and its sequel Batman: Rise of Sin Tzu, which earned him a 2004 G.A.N.G. Award Nomination.
For now, exploding into the world of feature films and dramatic TV, Clement remains the composer of choice for a host of feature and television producers. Some recent additions to Clement's resume are CBS’s pilot The Papdits (executive produced by Tom Nunan, Cathy Schulman & Anthony Hines), Disney’s Kim Possible: What’s the Switch? Video game, and the horror film June Cabin (Warner Bros.).
Additional projects include the Open Season video game by SONY, the series Crisis Point, and the IMAX animated feature Quantum Quest: A Cassini Space Odyssey, starring John Travolta & Samuel L. Jackson.
