Barbara started her career as a biophysics and chemistry research assistant almost two decades ago. Since then she has been a laboratory supervisor, instrumentation technologist, software and instrumentation support specialist, and engineering technician in a variety of high-tech industries.
In 1996, as a natural transition of her skills, Barbara became a full time technical writer in the medical device industry, producing documents over the years for the electrophysiology, ultrasound, and audiological sectors. In addition she has written for the networking software, telephony, medical research, and GPS industries.
Barbara is an advanced user of MS Word, FrameMaker, RoboHelp, and XMetaL, allowing her to leverage her extensive experience to design and write user manuals, online help systems, device development procedures, quality control documents, and production procedures using the client’s documentation standards.
