October 2008 — Present (10 months)
Since more than 10 years, provide expertise on genome analyses by genometrics: determination of replication markers, localization of foreign elements (phages, viruses, genomic islands) and characterization of their emerging environment. Based on former successful collaborations with research groups in academic/industrial networks the creation of a consulting agency devoted to genomic analyses was prepared in 2008. Genometrics Consulting was formally created in Nov 2008. Contact at genometrics.consulting(a)gmail.com

2001 — 2002 (1 year)
With Patrick Gamba, we co-founded the equally-owned GC Genometrician's Co, ltd, a startup coached by Genilem (www.genilem.ch) devoted to metrics on genome sequences. A software for naive genome analyses (Genometrician's Scooter) was designed, prototyped, tested and sold by internet. Working part-time (20%) as CSO in a startup devoted to biotech/genotech was a great experience.
