Claire Welsby’s Summary

I’m a Media Producer based in the UK. I produce web based and cross-platform projects for broadcasters and other public service organisations like museums, cultural institutions and heritage sites.

The services I produce more often than not combine expert editorial with participative media. They enable organisations and audiences to strike up in conversation in some way.

More and more, audiences expect rich experiences online and they increasingly want to ‘get involved,’ and interact in some way. As well as improving access to information and data, online networked services should enable visitors to ‘have their say,’ share experiences,’ use information and content and meet others of a like mind. The projects I work on enable these kinds of things to happen.

Alongside my glorious ‘day job’ at Kew, I also run InterventTech, a website for artists and creative producers interested in life | art | technology | us
