The CIO Forum evolved as an informal social network of academics and IS professionals by individuals who were passionate about bridging the gap between academia and commercial industry. ICT role players such as Microsoft, Oracle and SAP have supported the forum with influential stakeholders from government having presented and participated in our discussions. It became evident that there was support for such an event and more importantly that on-going conversations between these important role players needed to take place.

The EA FORUM is an initiative started by Roderick Lim Banda, a consultant in Enterprise Architecture and a Lecturer. We seek to define enterprise architecture within the context of our local community and Africa. Through the development of business and technology related architecture knowledge, skills, innovation and capacity we hope to contribute to economic development. With an increasingly competitive global community and the knowledge economy in mind, we want to grow centers of excellence.
We have strategically selected architecture intensive disciplines as a means of developing knowledge, skills, capacity and opportunities through our graduates and emerging professionals from previously disadvantaged communities.

The TERP10 programme and certification provides a solid foundation in SAP and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) processes and systems.“Corporate IT environments have become increasingly complex and hybrid and there is a need to leverage existing legacy systems. IT professionals and graduates need to be equipped with the knowledge of how to integrate systems across different platforms. The pace of change in both business and technology is likely to increase expectations on IT professionals as strategic enablers and solution providers. Training programs such as the TERP10 have never been more relevant.”
